A Gothic Fantasy Wedding: Welcome to Sarai & Bradley's Wedding at Brighton Abbey, McKinney TX

Weddings are moments where love meets creativity, and for couples who dream beyond tradition, a Gothic fantasy wedding offers a unique way to celebrate. Though Texas isn't the first place you think of for a fantasy wedding, Venues like Brighton Abbey off that old world fantasy aesthetic that sparks imagination. This is a real wedding, with a real couple, who chose to weave their love of gaming, moody color, and fantasy whimsy all throughout their wedding day. As a fantasy wedding photographer specializing in whimsical and imaginative celebrations, I have witnessed how these weddings transform venues into magical realms..

Sarai brought the world of a beautiful gothic fantasy wedding to life. Between her and Krystal's (https://thekreativeconsultant.com), they worked together to bring these gorgeous colorsand mystical energy to life in the wedding florals and overal tone of the wedding day.

Bright Abbey's historic mansion aesthetic fileld with tall beautiful trees, and gorgeous marble looking statues made the whole space feel like something out of a fantasy novel. Krystal used dim, warm lighting with candles, chandeliers, and lanterns to create shadows and depth, and I played off that, making a normally airy venue feel more in line with the gothic ambiance they were creating.

Sarai's wedding dress was an absolute dream! Layers of whispy chiffon and tulle, with a gorgeous black ribbon to still keep the more gothic elements in her orbit. She paired gorgeous dress with black lace fingerless gloves, a dark wedding lip and an INCREDIBLE jeweled crown with red and black crystals.

Her groom, Bradley was in his impeccably tailored uniform. It still fit him perfectly, and what better time to bring this gorgeous piece of personal history and accomplishment out than his own wedding day, complete with ceremonial sword.

Despite not being a huge fan of photos, Bradley let Sarai and I take him throughout the gardens and grounds of Brighton Abbey. We wanted booktok level, romance novel type portraits, and boy did these two just melt into each other once it was time. I pulled from my love of Rennaissance and Pre-Raphaelite portraiture to create some romantic couples portraits for these two, and I cannot begin to pick a favorite!

I cannot give enough props to this incredible team, so here are the important shout outs!
