Mariah: A Feyre Archeron Fantasy Shoot based on the ACOTAR Books by Sarah J Maas

Updated: Nov 25, 2022

Mariah came to me after seeing my work on Tiktok and getting inspired! Her energy was so absolutely wonderful from the first interaction we had! Feyre Archeron meant so much to her, having come from a similar upbringing and having to be strong from an early age. Because of the struggles she had early in her life she struggled with confidence and body image, which is insane because she is one of the most beautiful people I've ever met, both inside and out.

Working with her was such a beautiful experience, watching her slowly come into her own and absolutely own the room was a literal joy to experience. By the time we wrapped the shoot I had tears in my eyes because of the transformation. I will never get tired of this work.

We immediately got to planning. Mariah wanted a black dress reminiscent of Feyre's dress under the mountain, but not too sexy (we will save that for our boudoir session ;) ) Together we sat down and started sketching out ideas. The dress needed to be long, and needed to have a low back to show off the tattoo. I also like loads of fabric so I can create movement and oppulence in the photos so that was a must for me. We came up with this simple but elegant design hit all the right notes and also made her look like the most beautiful mortal turned Fey.

" I was not a pet, not a doll, not an animal. I was a survivor, and I was strong. I would not be weak, or helpless again. I would not, could not be broken. Tamed" - Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury
